SKY TV will be the platform for new BT SPORTS
channels.
BT have announced that there new
BT SPORTS channel will launch in August on the SKY platform, BT have secured
the “exclusive” on many of the Barclays Premier League matches and BT have
confirmed that they have secured Lawrence Dallaglio who will be the resident
rugby guy and CH4 racing’s Clare Balding will also have a regular slot on the
new Sports channel.
Whilst this sounds like SKY &
BT are working together, it is clear that there are still unasnwered and un-agreed agreements relating to pricing as BT have
said that they will undercut SKY in the lucrative pub broadcasting business
that generates millions of pounds of income for sky every month.
