With the next season of Formula one shortly upon us next year will see SKY SPORTS F1 channel cover every single race on the worldwide F! Grand Prix circuit that takes viewers around the world including; Australia, Bahrain, China, Monaco, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Singapore, USA and Brazil.

Astra 2E News Update on Proton rocket launch

Provisional launch date - 30/09/2013

News from Paris — After the unfortunate accident on July 2nd that resulted in a proton rocket and $220 Million pay load going up in smoke, both Russian and Kazakh Governments have decided that after carrying out discussions and a review of safety and launch procedures with Proton's executives have given the go ahead to launch on the 30th September. 

Officials from Khrunichev Space Center in Moscow have confirmed this new launch date, this news has been welcomed by Directors of SES Astra who are under pressure to bring Astra 2E in to service.

Residents on the Spanish Costa del Sol such as Albert & Diane from Mijas said "This is not good News for us! Sky has announced that the opening day of the UK Premier League will be Broadcast for FREE to all SKY customers. SKY UK will allow "FREE ACCESS" to FREE Premier League Football on the 17th August 2013, SKy will be showing 115 Live Premier League games. This FREE SKY TV will be available to view for FREE on Freeview and many other pay TV platforms including PICK TV.

Premier League games which will air on Saturday evenings, Sunday double-headers, Monday nights and bank holidays.

The league’s first kick off day, 17th August, will see Sky Sports 1 replace regular programming on Sky 2 (on Sky and other UK pay TV services) and UK Pick TV (on Freeview and YouView). 

SKY who are currently in a bitter dispute with BT "British Telecom" are pulling every trick in the book to keep customers as BT starts making some big noise in the Market place.

SKY TV will be the platform for new BT SPORTS channels.

BT have announced that there new BT SPORTS channel will launch in August on the SKY platform, BT have secured the “exclusive” on many of the Barclays Premier League matches and BT have confirmed that they have secured Lawrence Dallaglio who will be the resident rugby guy and CH4 racing’s Clare Balding will also have a regular slot on the new Sports channel.

Whilst this sounds like SKY & BT are working together, it is clear that there are still unasnwered and un-agreed  agreements relating to pricing as BT have said that they will undercut SKY in the lucrative pub broadcasting business that generates millions of pounds of income for sky every month.
