"It is about time they had some competition"

No longer a monopoly, BSKYB have had the back of their legs slapped by BT Sports who have now affected the bottom line at BSKYB. After years of making billions upon billions of profits from SKY SPORTS BT have now pulled the rug from under their feet and given them a kicking as profits slump by 13%.

Whilst austerity measures have seen many people in the UK cut back on going out and taking holidays, many made the decision to get SKY TV so that staying in and saving money could not be so painless. BSKYB "SKY TV UK" have seen massive growth over the past 6 years although things are not so rosie this week at BSKYB as City analysts predict a 13% reduction in 3rd quater operating profits admist the recent BT Sports debacle that has seen millions wiped off the sharre price. Bothered? Probably not! With BSKYB effectivly having a monopoly on premier league matches BT Sports have slipped in there and taken a chunk of the market.
