Cricket fans that are subscribers to SKY SPORTS are in for a treat as SKY announce a dedicated Ashes Cricket channel dedicated to the Ashes series between UK and Australia this will take over the SKY2HD channels and will provide over 60 days of cricket in glorious HD

With so much going on in the World of satellite TV in Spain, the biggest Satellite Broadcaster in Europe BSKY "SKY TV UK" are looking at purchasing CANAL+


June has been a very busy for SKY TV UK executives having just announced a

SKY TV deal with Yahoo and now News that BSKYB are interested in buying out or taking a stake in the Spanish pay TV Broadcaster CANAL+ SKY UK Legal team have been in talks with both Telefonica who are share holders to the tune of 23% in the satellite Broadcasting business and Prinsa who own 56% according to a recent story that has been circulating in the Spanish media.

It is rumoured that Prinsa have already rejected several offers in the past, and are in no hurry to sell there share despite falling subscription revenue as the Spanish pay TV market has dipped in past years. There have also been lots of complaints about the way CANAL+ have been reluctant to let cash strapped Spanish families out of there contractual obligations and instructing debt collectors that often call up at 11 o'clock at night.

Filming new SKY TV DRAMA Filming in Ireland

Ray Winstone Fans (myself included) are happy to see that Ray has started filming a new TV Series in Ireland in association with SKY TV (BSKYB) DRAMA.

Filming is expected to last two months and a source close to the star of such classic Movies as "SCUM" and "SEXY BEAST" to name but a few is said to be in good spirits as they have been filming in Dublin near his favourite restaurant.


The new production is called "Moonfleet" and is based on a novel by John Falkner.

Ray Winstone said "I can’t wait to start filming in Ireland and it’s a real honour to be bringing such an epic adventure story to life,” 

There are rumours that Ray Winstone may also be appearing a new Quintin Tarantino Movie set in the criminal underworld in Marbella and based on a British Gang on the run after a bullion robbery in Antwerp goes wrong.

Meanwhile SKY TV have announced updates to the new SKY on demand service with over 5000 titles to be added in 2013. This may go some way to appease disgruntled subscribers that are faced with price increases in 2013.

SKY TV SPAIN - News "SKY set to increase subscription fees despite record share price increases and posting massive profits.

Record profits & soaring share prices have not detered SKY (BSKYB) from increasing monthly subscriptions fees.

SKY TV PRICE INCREASES SET TO HIT CASH STRAPPED BRITISH FAMILIES.  SKY TV have confirmed that they will be increasing subscription fees for UK SKY TV. Mrs Lucas a resident in Torrevieja said "Its a disgrace" she went on to say "Whilst many Businesses are offering special deals and offers SKY UK decide to put prices up for a second time in twelve months"

SKY TV announce increase in the SKY TV subscription services via satellite and on demand IPTV bucking the rumours that suggested a price war may commence admist rumours of Intel IPTV and BT roll out new Television platforms for "premium TV channels"

SKY TV have stunned members of the Satellite TV Industry by announcing that they will be increasing SKY TV subscription fees as early as September 2013.

BSKYB have defended the increases 
and BSKYB chief executive Jeremy Darroch  recently said that with Apple TV, Google TV and Intel IPTV joining the UK market along with Virgin and its Tivo service and most importantly BT who are launching its pay tv service BT Sports 1 and BT Sports 2.

BT’s proposed launch of Sports TV this August as a way for the telecoms company to “shore up” its position in broadband. Over the weekend, sources claimed that Sky was poised to slash the rate of its own internet deals in response. A spokeswoman declined to comment yesterday. Industry insiders said Sky had an obligation to notify prospective TV customers about any forthcoming changes. Monday’s warning about September’s increase was placed on Sky’s online shop site. 

ESPN & ESPN Classic will be removed from the Sky TV subscription services after as of August 1st 2013 and bearing in mind that ESPN is now owned by BT this of no suprise as the big corporate giants go head to head.

ULTRA HD TV 4K TELEVISION BROADCAST FROM SPAIN TO BRAZIL

ULTRA HD TV BRAZIL - News on satellite Television.

Telefonica Audiovisual Solutions (TSA) in association with Media Networks with Hispasat Satellite have carried out a Ultra HDTV 4K Broadcast in South America.The Broadcast was generated by Telefonica Espana and was uploaded from Madrid and was viewed on Televisions in the City of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil, South America.

This was all in aid of the new Amazonas Satellite that will see Ultra HD TV 4K Television being Broadcasted in South America.

A spokesperson "Loles de Campillo" from Media Networks said that; "ULtra HD TV will start to be Broadcasted in next year" 

Telefonica are not new to Broadcasting ULTRA HD TV in Spain after they made a Broadcast at the DVB World Forum in Madrid last year attended by www.mrskytv.com in association with TSA and Hispasat who made the Broadcast last year from Barcelona during the DVB World Forum. TSA are specialist Broadcaster has provided many solutions for Telefonica relating to Ultra HD TV.
