UK ISLAMIC TV CHANNEL FINED - SKY TV UK NEWS

UK ISLAMIC TV CHANNEL FINED
SKY TV UK NEWS

Noor TV presenter tells a live caller that anyone that insults Islam should be killed.

This outrageous comment was made during a live call in TV show and after several complaints OFCOM decided to fine Noor TV £85'000 after a presenter said that "Anyone disrespecting the prophet Mohammad should be killed" The TV channel Noor TV is broadcast using the UK SKY TV system.

The TV channel that is owned by Al Ehya Digital Television was lucky to not have lost it's broadcasting licence although an insider said "They probably do not realise just how close they come to loosing ther Broadcasting licence" it was decided that a fine would sufice. OFCOM could have fined up to £250'000 but decided that £85'000 was suitable.

Many believe that SKY BSKYB should provide a level of protection to the United Kingdom people and perhaps have a five minute delay on any channels that promote murdering or violence and have the ability to bleep out any comments that could be dangerous.

It may also be a good idea to have a parental guidance warning as young impressionable teenagers may be taken in by this.

Ofcom judged these comments were "likely to encourage or incite the commission of crime or to lead to disorder"

The British Government and OFCOM need to find a way to allow people to express there religious beliefs providing they do not suggest killing non-
believers or anyone that makes a comment that may be believed to be insulting.

This needs to be stamped out and SKY UK need to be held responsible for what is being Broadcasted in the United Kingdom.

This is not the first time that OFCOM have fined this TV station.
